How do I subscribe to a Podcast?
Feeds are often indicated on webpages by the use of orange buttons like the examples below:

     RSS     XML

After you have selected and installed your Podcatcher you use these buttons to subscribe to a Feed.

In an ideal world you would simply click on the Feed to subscribe to it. However the technology that drives podcasting is fairly new so you may need to copy the Feed first and then paste it into your Podcatcher.

When you click on an orange button a new window may open in your browser and display an XML document. This is often a mistake on the part of the publisher of the RSS file as they may have responded incorrectly to the click. If they respond correctly, then it should launch your default RSS reader which would probably be your Podcatcher.

Another problem could be due to your browser. For example in Windows XP there is no default RSS reader installed, so even if the publisher has set things up correctly your computer may not understand how to handle RSS files.

You can easily overcome these problems by copying the feeds address from the browsers address bar and pasting it in to your Podcastcher, then close the window that shows the XML document.

To speed things up further, and to save the new window opening, right click on the orange box and copy the address ('Copy Shortcut in Internet Explorer, or 'Copy Link Location' in Firefox) then paste it into your Podcatcher.
